Where Boavista's hotel story began
Built in 1999, Hotel Dunas was the first hotel on the island. Today it has been completely renovated, keeping what guests love most: a central spot by the old harbour, a small team that knows you by name, and genuine Cape Verdean warmth.
Step outside and you are in Sal Rei — banks, pharmacies, craft shops, cafés and the beach are all within a few minutes' walk. It is an easy base for couples, solo travellers and anyone who wants to explore the island rather than stay behind a resort gate.
